J. J. Abrams confirms that the script for Star Wars Episode VII is complete.
The Wrap reports that J. J. Abrams has confirmed that the script for Star Wars Episode VII is finished. He is also speaking about a role for Jesse Plemons (Breaking Bad).
"We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep," Abrams told TheWrap. "Full steam ahead, y'know."
While promoting his new television series, Believe, at the Television Critics Association press tour on Sunday, Abrams spoke to reporters about the talking with Jesse Plemons about a role in the film.
According to Deadline, Abrams joined Larry Kasdan with writing the script in October.
"Working with Larry Kasdan, especially on a Star Wars movie is kind of unbeatable," Abrams told Deadline.
When asked about what he thought about the rumors surrounding the film, Abrams said the rumors are good because they mean people are interested.
"There've been so many of them," Abrams said. "It's amazing to see how many there are. ... But it's sweet because it shows that there's an interest in this movie that we all obviously know is there."
Disney's new Star Wars chapter is set to be released in 2015.
