Dinosaurs have been extinct for thousands of years, but Dino fans to paleontologists are all continually fascinated by the discovery of a new skeleton.

The Smithsonian revealed excited news for their museum on Friday. A new Tyrannosaurus rex skeleton, which was originally found in Montana, will be at there on April 15, according to the museum.

This is the good news. The T. rex will be on display at the museum for the next 50 years thanks to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, according to Tech Times.

The bad news is that the fossil hall will be renovated starting April 28th until 2019, that is a five year wait to see the new T. rex, states the Smithsonian.

Kirk Johnson, the Director of the National Museum of Natural History said, “I am sure our visitors will be pleased that dinosaurs will continue to be on view at the Smithsonian while the new national fossil hall is being built” writes the museum.

Although a thrilling milestone for the Smithsonian museum, dinosaur enthusiasts will have to wait quite some time to see the new addition.
