Originally from Penang, an island in Malaysia, Tan traveled all the way to Los Angeles to pursue a career in music.
After singing on Astro Kid’s Talent Quest Season One and studying online at Berklee College of Music, Tan realized where the heart of music was. He picked up and traveled to California where he teamed with award-winning producers that have worked with artists such as Demi Lovato and Mariah Carey.
He recently released his debut single, “Heat Wave.” This romantic pop song captures all aspects of a top hit. It might start off slow but the second the music starts playing, you will want to dance.
It’s lyrics are relatable, including lines such as “When I see those blue eyes, my heart will fly,” and “she’s got that something inside, that makes me go losin’ my mind.”
This song is so catchy that I found myself singing along to the chorus after listening to the song. How could you not want to sing along to “Feels like a heat wave strikes across my heart, heat wave tries to tear me apart.” This is a song that you can feel the emotion but also has a unique spin to the typical love song.
Tan is an artist to watch out for.
