The Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to perform with Bruno Mars at the Super Bowl XLVIII halftime show.
NFL.com reports that the Red Hot Chili Peppers will join Bruno Mars for the Super Bowl halftime show.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers, which consists of singer Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, drummer, Chad Smith, and guitarist Josh Klinghoffer, have sold over 50 million albums and won six Grammy awards. Some of their most popular hits include "Dani California," "Scar Tissue," and "Give It Away."
According to The LA Times, the band was set to perform at a pre-Super Bowl bash on Feb. 1 in Brooklyn hosted by sports radio station WFAN-AM in New York.
It is unknown whether the band will perform songs with Bruno Mars, but their addition to the most watched musical event of the year should appeal to audiences of a wider demographic.
The Super Bowl XLVIII takes place on Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 2 in New Jersey.
