Tim McGraw released a new single “Lookin’ For That Girl”, a pop charged song with country undertones, and Autotune vocals.
After a fantastic year, and under new label Big Machine Records, Tim McGraw released his new single, “Lookin’ For That Girl”, from his yet-untitled album due later this year. The song has an almost danceable beat driving the song throughout, with hints here and there of a pedal steel in the background, it’s still all McGraw through and through. With country lyrics That girl she’s a sugar-sweet drive by / Hold my dreams in her blue jeans oh my / Yellow hammer south Georgia, Mississippi chick / Drink cherry wine, Louisiana lipstick intertwined with the modern vocal distortion really makes the song stand out from the normal twang we are used to, which will probably work in McGraw’s favor, if nothing else, just for originality.
Along with the new single, McGraw also announced on his website a new tour Sundown Heaven Town 2014 Tour which will take the country singer across the states hitting 30 cities starting in May and beginning on the west coast. No specific dates have been announced yet but beginning January 21, fans can purchase tickets for select cities as part of Live Nation’s Country Megaticket.
“Lookin’ For That Girl” is streaming exclusively on Entertainment Weekly.
