The story of the Titanic has been told on the silver screen and lives on in the history books, but the voyage is not yet over for the White Star ship.
Producers of the musical retelling of the tragedy have announced that they will be brining the show back to Broadway as early as the fall of 2014. The show will be returning to Broadway after a workshop in Toronto over the summer.
The show originally opened back in 1997 of April, Time added.
Billboard reported that the upcoming Broadway show will be helmed by Thom Southerland. Details about the project are soon to follow, including casting, show dates and creative details.
The show was originally scored by Maury Yeston and the show focused on the passengers in first-class, second-class and third-class that were passengers on that historical journey.
The original show won Tonys in 1997 for best musical, best score, best sets and book of a musical. The show was performed over 800 times.
