An arrest has been made in relation to the death of 23-year-old Kim Pham. Pham passed away Sunday after being brutally beaten outside of a popular Santa Ana nightclub the previous night.
Police have arrested one unidentified woman and are currently looking for four other individuals who are connected to the incident.
According to LA Times, Pham was beaten into an unconscious state by another group of young adults whom she did not know.
The unidentified female suspect has been arrested under suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. Officers are withholding the suspect’s name until the other four suspects are apprehended.
According to Hollywood Life, the fight allegedly took place because Pham accidentally walked by the group of adults while they were posing for a photo.
Pham had recently graduated from Chapman University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. She had been on life support because, according to her sister Katie Nguyen, it was her wish to be an organ donor.
A local business association, Downtown Inc., has offered a $5,000 reward for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible.
