The Weinstein Co. has pulled the Grace Kelly biopic starring Nicole Kidman Grace of Monaco just seven weeks before its release date. Director Olivier Dahn and Harvey Weinstein are reportedly clashing creatively over the film.

Dahn has yet to finish the film to send it to Weinstein for final edits and marketing, which is problematic considering it had a release date of March 14, > The Hollywood Reporter writes.

However, Dahn says that Weinstein wanted to change too much of the film and that’s why he’s shelving it.

“It's right to struggle, but when you confront an American distributor like Weinstein, not to name names, there is not much you can do," he told a French newspaper Liberation. "There are two versions of the film for now: mine and his … which I find catastrophic."

Variety reports the screenplay is written by Arash Amel.

No new release date has been set and the Weinstein Co. hasn’t publicly stated a reason for suspending it indefinitely.
