Residents that live near the Angeles National Forest, north of Glendora, were told to evacuate their homes after a wildfire, being called the Colby fire, broke out Thursday morning a little before 6 a.m.

According to Los Angeles Times, Brad Smith was dropping off a friend on Englewood Drive around 5:30 a.m. when he first noticed the flames. Smith, who survived a wildfire when he was ten years old, immediately went to doors and started knocking. “You could feel the heat. It got really scary,” Smith said.

An air advisory has been issued by the South Coast Air Quality District, according to Glendora Patch . Residents, who have not been evacuated, should stay inside because of the smoke in the air.

Three suspects are being held under suspicion of causing the wildfire with a $20,000 bail for each suspect. According to KPCC, Glendora Police Chief said, “The three suspects are males in their early 20s.” One is a Glendora resident.

Helicopters carrying water had been dispatched earlier when the fire first broke out. There have been at least two homes that have been destroyed, but no human fatalities.
