Martin Scorsese has set another record when it comes to his iconic filmmaking. His latest film, The Wolf of Wall Street uses the "F word" 506 times during the course of the 180-minute film.
Variety reported that the former record holder for a non-documentary with profanity use was Spike Lee’s Summer of Sam with 435 swears during the film.
Scorsese is no stranger to using strong language in his feature films, Casino and Goodfellas, had a combined number of over 500 profane words.
USA Today added that a documentary holds the record for using profane language, with over 857 uses of the "F-word" in just 93 minutes.
The Wolf of Wall Street is an over the top film about Wall Street giant, Jordan Belfort and his about excess, fame and fortunate. The film stars, Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill, Margot Robbie, Matthew McConaughey, Jon Favreau and Kyle Chandler.
Wolf of Wall Street was nominated for a variety of Golden Globes and is considered an Oscar favorite.
DiCaprio recently spoke about his role in the film and his interactions with the real life star of Wolf of Wall Street.
