A woman in the United Kingdom, who saved her husband’s life by donating one of her kidneys, says she wishes she could have it back now that he left her.
According to the Daily Mail, Andy Lamb was dying of renal kidney failure and being kept alive only by weekly dialysis. His wife, Samantha, generously donated a kidney to him and then he left her.
Lamb told the Sunday People that she believes her husband cheated on her and wishes it was possible to take the organ back from him and give it to someone who deserves it.
“I can’t believe he now has a second chance to live to see his grandchildren grow up. I would definitely go through the operation again – but I wouldn’t give the kidney to him,” the 41-year-old said. "I hate him. If I could I’d take it back and give it someone else.”
Lamb is not the first kidney donor facing regret and wishing for the organ back.
Last year, a New York woman demanded the kidney she donated to her boss back after she was fired.
Each of the scorned woman may just have to live with the decisions they made.
