A 4-year-old boy who was ejected from a car seat remains uninjured.
A car crash on the 5 Freeway in Anaheim sent the boy flying from his car while attached to his car seat Wednesday night. ABC News reports that the driver lost control of the car when and crashed into a wall by Magnolia Avenue. The boy was lucky enough to land in some nearby plants that were planted next to the freeway.
For safety precautions, the boy was taken to UCI Medical Center, but had no major injuries.
According to News 10 the 4-year-old girl experienced a similar situation in December when her 25-year-old cousin Xavier Robinson was rear ended on the freeway and was sent flying from her vehicle. Her safety seat caught onto a nearby fence and she only suffered from minor scratches.
“Car seats saves lives and if you have a kid, strap it up,” Robinson said.
Kids Health recommends children wear a safety seat until they are about 8 years old.
