Aloe Blacc was a relativity unknown musician before he teamed up with Avicii and took over the music charts with their smash hit, "Wake Me Up." Since that single has hit the airwaves Blacc has been taking over the music industry.

Last month's Blacc solo single, "The Man" arrived on the Billboard Top 20 charts and this week the song increased to No. 16 on the charts, Billboard reported.

On March 11th Blacc will be releasing his next solo record Lift Your Spirit. The singer spoke about all of the success that has come into his career as of late. "What's really nice is that people were familiar with my voice and my songwriting, and a lot of people were familiar with it because of the success of 'Wake Me Up,'" said Blacc.

He went on to explain that he is exited for fans to hear the whole record and is thankful that they have been enjoying "The Man." "I think that has something to do with what's working with 'The Man.' A lot of people have been primed to appreciate my voice and my songwriting," Blacc expressed.

Following his album release Blacc will be heading out on tour with Bruno Mars as the opening act on Mars worldwide tour, Radio and Music reported.
