Rock 'n' roll band, Arcade Fire will be playing a special show in Haiti later this month.

Scott Rodger of Quest Management confirmed via email that the band would be arriving in Haiti on Feb. 21 and will be playing the country's Carnival celebrations. The carnival takes place in a local coastal town named Jacmel. Normally this event features local groups but Arcade Fire has been added to the lineup, Billboard reported.

The Guardian detailed that last year Regine Chassagne of Arcade Fire the bands unique ties to Haiti and how that inspired their music. "We were interested in doing hybrid beats that could translate stuff that I know from my family background in Haiti. I was always interested to try to find rhythms that mean something, to communicate emotion through rhythm and music. Because rhythm is almost like a vocabulary," Chassagne told the Guardian last year," said Chassagne.

The band's fourth album Reflektor actually contains some musical influences and traditions that stem from the Haitian culture, such as "rara." Reflektor was loved by fans and was one the most critically acclaimed albums of last year.

The band won a Grammy award back in 2011 for album of the year.
