Attorney General Eric Holder was taken to the hospital on Thursday after he reportedly felt faint and short of breath. Doctors say that Holder is doing alright in the hospital.
A spokesman for the attorney general said he experienced "faintness and shortness of breath" during a morning meeting with staff, reports Fox News.
It was decided the best action would be to have him taken to the MedStar Washington Hospital Center to get examined and make sure that Holder was doing alright.
Holder's office released a statement on his current condition and noted that "he is currently resting comfortably and in good condition. He is alert and conversing with his doctors," according to the Chicago Tribune.
The 63-year-old is a busy man in the Obama administration, where he was brought on board to be the head of the Justice Department nearly five years ago. He most recently travelled to Sweden to discuss gay rights.
Before he joined President Barack Obama, he was the second-in-command at the Justice Department while former President Bill Clinton was in office.
