TV personality and former model, Charlotte Dawson, has been found dead in her home in Sydney.

According to The Sydney Morning Herald, she committed suicide and was found dead at approximately 11:20 a.m. on Saturday morning in her home.

She had been dealing with a lot of stress, due to her apartment being up for auction and her failed marriage with Scott Miller, who she claimed she still loved in an interview with 60 Minutes just a week ago. She had a history of depression and attempted suicide back in 2012.

“I continue to fight my depression - it's a bitch of a thing - and I fear watching something like this as it's the most painful time in my life. The divorce broke me very much. I had to go away for five years and rebuild my life. I've adjusted and moved on, but it is still very painful,” she said, referring to watching the interview in which she talks about her marriage.

Dawson signed with Ford Models in NYC when she was only 16. She then moved to Australia and worked as a fashion director and editor. She had multiple TV roles such as a judge on Australia’s Next Top Model and host of The Contender Australia, reports People.

She was also an activist for anti-bullying and appeared on The Celebrity Apprentice Australia in 2012, raising money for the Smile Foundation.

Her death has shocked many, including New Zealand Prime Minister John Key and longtime friend, Russell Crowe, who both took to Twitter to mourn over the news.
