Last week the BRIT Awards took place across the pond and since the awards have been handed out the winners have been experiencing a rise in sales around the world. Bastille, Sam Smith and Arctic Monkeys all saw a jump in sales on the charts.

Bastille, known for their current hit "Pompeii" took home the award for best British Breakthrough act last week and the group has now returned to the charts with Bad Blood,
Billboard reported.

One of the evenings biggest honors went to newcomer Sam Smith who took the No. 1 spot on the U.K. single charts with "Money On My Mind," after winning the critics' choice award.

Also featured during the awards included Arctic Monkeys, Disclosure and Rudimental who all saw spikes in sales following the ceremony.

Reuters reported that this win helped Smith to sell 108,000 copies with his current single. This was the first time a winner of that award also took the top spot on the singles charts.
