Ben & Jerry’s is known for shocking us with their daring, and delicious, flavors with their clever and fun names and now they’ve taken ice cream to a whole new level. Now instead of having to decide between two flavors and then wanting to add your own topping, they’re all together in one container! They have released a “Core” line of ice cream with five new flavors just in time for spring.

The ice cream company made the announcement over Twitter, tweeting a picture of the four new flavors saying, “Time to spoon!” The “Core” flavors are unlike anything we’ve ever seen before. Each container of the ice cream will have two flavors and running down the middle of the two flavors is a fudge or jam center. And as if that’s not enough to want to eat the entire thing, the ice cream will have their famous chunks of candy or brownies throughout. It’s like a perfect spoonful every time!

The four new flavors, with their typical clever names which Ben & Jerry trademarks, are Hazed & Confused, Peanut Butter Fudge, Salted Caramel, and That’s My Jam. “Experience uber-indulgence with out new Cores,” the website reads. “So pop the lid, grab a spoon and get down to business.”

For those of you who like Nutella, or anything similar, Hazed & Confused is the perfect hazelnut and chocolate blend. For all the peanut butter lovers out there, Peanut Butter Fudge has peanut butter in three different forms, and of course, chocolate. Salted Caramel has been a trendy flavor recently, and Salted Caramel has all that salty sweet goodness we’ve come to love. For fruit lovers, That’s my Jam has a fruit ice cream and a jam center, with again, chocolate.

NY Daily News reports that Eric Fredette, the lead flavor developer for Ben & Jerry’s, has spoken out about the new flavors. “We wanted to blow out the concept of fun flavors, chunks and swirls and take it over the top,” he said. And they sure did.

The pints are going to be $4.39 each and are hitting shelves this month. Once it’s Spring, Ben & Jerry’s scoop shops will be offering customizable Core Sundaes where you can get a core of hot fudge or caramel in between any two flavors of your choice.
