Ben Kingsley and Alessandra Mastronardi have joined that cast of Anton Corbijn’s upscoming film Life, starring Robert Pattinson and Dane DeHaan.
The shooting for the film started on Wednesday in Toronto, according to Variety. Life is produced by See-Saw Films and First Generation Films. The script was written by Luke Davies, who wrote the novel that formed the basis of the Heath Ledger-starrer Candy.
The story of Life centers on the relationship between photographer Dennis Stock (Pattinson) and actor James Dean (DeHaan). When Life commissioned Stock to take photographs of Dean in 1955, the assignment propelled the two across the country in a photographic odyssey, a journey that would have a huge impact on Stock’s life, The Hollywood Reporter noted.
Kingsley and Mastronardi’s roles are not, as of yet, known.
Kingsley recently appeared in Iron Man 3 and the upcoming Marvel One-Shot All Hail the King as the bumbling Trevor Slattery. Mastronardi’s recent credits include Woody Allen’s To Rome with Love and the TV series Titanic: Blood and Steel.
