The 86th annual Academy Awards just got some major star power with the announcement of Bette Midler performing on Sunday’s show.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Divine Miss M will perform during the ceremony, a first for the living legend. “We are thrilled to have Bette perform on the Oscars for the very first time,” Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron said in a statement. “We believe she will make our Oscar telecast an especially moving evening.”

Entertainment Weekly noted there is no hint as far as what song she will sing. EW also suggested Midler could perform during the In Memoriam segment, much like Barbara Streisand did last year singing “The Way We Were” in honor of songwriter Marvin Hamlish.

Recently, Bette Midler was seen on Broadway with her portrayal of the late Hollywood agent Sue Mengers, who represented icons such as Steve McQueen and Robert Redford, in the show I’ll Eat You Last.

The 86th annual Academy Awards air this Sunday March 2 on ABC.
