A female serial killer in Britain has received life in prison for killing three men over the course of ten days.
Joanna Dennehy, 31, laughed and swore at Judge Robin Spencer as he sentenced her.
Judge Spencer called Dennehy a “cruel, calculating, selfish and manipulative” murderer for killing three men and attempting to kill two more, according to The New York Daily News. Dennehy had no true motivation and said she killed “for fun.”
“I killed to see how I would feel, to see if I was as cold as I thought I was, then it got more-ish,” Dennehy said, according to a psychiatrist’s report read by Spencer.
Dennehy stabbed Lukasz Slaboszewski, 31, Kevin Lee, 48, and John Chapman, 56, to death in March 2013. She also admitted to attempting to kill John Rogers and Robin Bereza while they were walking their dogs.
Rogers and Bereza testified against Dennehy at her trial, according to the Daily Mail.
“The death and destruction you are responsible for has caused untold distress for the families of those killed and of those who survived,” Spencer said.
Dennehy has said she “is not sorry” for the murders.
Dennehy is the first woman in British history to be sentenced to an entire life sentence by a judge and the third woman to be sentenced to life; the other two women were sentenced to their terms by Home Security.
