The Boss will put out four previously unreleased tracks on vinyl for Record Store Day on April 19th.
According to Rolling Stone the 12" vinyl EP will be called American Beauty. It will include three songs left out of Springsteen's January release High Hopes, "Mary Mary", "Hey Blue Eyes", and the title track "American Beauty", The fourth song "Hurry Up Sundown" which has no known origin.
Other releases planned for Record Store Day include live recordings by Neil Young and Alice Cooper. Also, an impressive list of indie stars like Circa Survive and Daughters will unite for a tribute to Nirvana's In Utero, which celebrated its 20th anniversary last year. Record Store Day has been an annual event in April since 2008. Every Record Store Day since 2009 has had an Ambassador to spread the word, this year's ambassador is Public Enemy's Chuck D. In his speech at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last year Chuck D emphasized the importance of DJ culture and record stores to hip hop.
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are currently touring Australia but will return to the U.S. for a tour beginning April 8th.
