An Arizona woman has made a disturbing discovery after her new mattress purchase from Mattresses 101.

Alison Kiefer, who was awake in the middle of the night with her baby, noticed a bug crawl across her bed and immediately contacted an exterminator.

"The mattresses were fully covered, padding I mean, like a brand new mattress. They had plastic coverings all over them,” Kiefer noted.

According to Yahoo! News, while Brent Agee of MasterTech Pest Solutions was searching for the answer to Kiefer’s issue, he found an old mattress that had been stuffed inside of the new one she had purchased a couple of months ago.

"A mattress inside a mattress, and actually that's the first time I actually heard about people doing that. But that's usually where you find bed bugs, is the mattresses. When we were trying to pull them off this bunk bed they weighed about 100 pounds. Usually a mattress that size doesn't weight that much,” Agee explained.

The extermination team went through Kiefer’s entire home and found bed bugs in her room as well as in the kids’ room.
KRVK 3 On Your Side stated that Mattresses 101 did not have an explanation to the incident but claimed they have never had any complaints like this one.

“We purchase and sell brand new mattresses only,” the store mentioned.

Mattresses 101 has agreed to refund Kiefer $200 for her purchase as well as an extra $200 to help with cleaning expenses.
