Team Canada did it again. After beating Team USA in women’s hockey, Team Canada beat Team USA in men’s hockey 1-0 on Friday.

The U.S. had the highest scoring offense in the Olympic tournament with 20 goals in four games. However they were no match for Canada’s defense and puck controlling offense.

The U.S. entered the game looking for redemption as Canada had beaten them in the Olympics four years ago. Both teams entered Friday’s game undefeated.

Early in the second period Canada’s Ryan Getzlaf passed the puck to Jamie Benn, who scored the only goal of the game. The U.S. tried to comeback as they had 11 shots on goal but were unable to score, according to Yahoo Sports. They also failed to convert on three power plays. Canada goalie Carey Price had 31 saves in the shutout.

Canada hasn’t trailed in any game while in Sochi. The win was Canada’s fourth win over the U.S. in five Olympic meetings since 1998, according to the Associated Press. Canada now has the chance to win the gold in men’s and women’s hockey for the second straight time in the Olympics.

Canada will play Sweden on Sunday in the gold medal match. The U.S. will try to win the bronze when they play Finland on Saturday.
