Dolly Parton will release Blue Smoke on May 13th with Sony Music Masterworks in partnership with her own Dolly Records.

The album is set to be released right in the middle of a very busy touring scheduling for Parton, Billboard added.

The country superstar has placed 41 albums in the top ten of the Billboard Country Albums chart. Which is an accomplishment few have come close to in the history of country music.

UPI reported that Parton will be travleing not only the United States but the world in support of this latest album. Just a few of her stops include, Australia, New Zealand, the United States, England, Ireland, Scotland, Denmark, Germany, Norway and Sweden.

Parton spoke more about her upcoming album and explained that it will have something for everyone. "On this CD I think there are all of the colors of my life in all the areas of music that you've allowed me to dabble in through the years," said Parton.

Parton went on to explain that her music was going to sound modern but not lost her classic vocal style. "You will hear my old world mountain voice on songs like 'Banks of The Ohio' and 'If I Had Wings' my tender side on songs like 'Miss You - Miss Me' and 'Unlikely Angel.' My country / bluegrass side of songs like 'Home,' 'Blue Smoke' and 'Don't Think Twice' and my funny tongue-in-cheek side on 'Lover du Jour," Parton explained.
