Duck Commander, the company owned by the Robertson family featured on the A&E show, Duck Dynasty, entered into a three-year agreement to sponsor a NASCAR race at the Texas Motor Speedway. The race will be called Duck Commander 500.
TMS President Eddie Gossage told the Associated Press, "Fans will see members of the Robertson family and cast of Duck Dynasty and all the rest during Duck Commander 500 week here at Texas Motor Speedway and we have produced some awesome merchandise that both race fans and Duck Commander fans will love. This marriage is perfection."
The bearded stars of Duck Dynasty were featured on the hood of Clint Bowyer's car last August. Bowyer appeared on the show in November 2012, in an episode when Willie Robertson talks about sponsoring the driver's car for a race.
Willie Robertson, the CEO of Duck Commander, admits to being a big fan of NASCAR. He founded the duck hunting business 42 years ago. The popular reality television series, The Duck Dynasty started in 2012. The show returned to A&E for Season 5 this year, according to the The Hollywood Reporter. The show follows a Louisiana family known for their duck hunting business.
The special NASCAR race will take place on April 6.
