Twilight actor Peter Facinelli has been cast to star in the upcoming NBC drama series Odyssey.
Facinelli, who also was on the Showtime show Nurse Jackie, will star alongside Pushing Daisies actress Anna Friel and Jake Robinson, reports Deadline.
The show will follow three different families, each led by one of the main three actors, who become involved in a international military conspiracy. Facinelli's character is a tired corporate lawyer, while Friel plays a female soldier who has become stranded. Robinson's role is an ignored political activist.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Facinelli's character is named Peter and he has a wife and two kids. He works for a Wall Street firm where his job is to investigate for the company and he stumbles upon a company's dirty secrets ahead of a merger.
Adam Armus and Kay Foster have been tapped to write and executive produce the show. Peter Horton will also executive produce and could write future episodes if the pilot is picked up.
Lost alum Adewale Akinnouye-Abaje was previously cast to play a commanding officer for a private military contractor.
