Singer/songwriter Ed Sheeran will be collaborating with childhood friend and artist Phillip Butah this fall along with Cassell Illustrated to publish a book.

The book will be entitled, Ed Sheeran: A Visual Journey. It’ll combine artwork and photographs of Sheeran from Butah. Sheeran fans should be familiar with at least some of Butah’s work, as he has produced the artwork for Sheeran’s albums and singles.

The publisher described the book as, “a stunning and original visual documentary of one of the most successful musicians of his generation,” the book will “reveal what drives and influences Sheeran, his experiences recording and touring, and how he continues to evolve as a musician while coping with such stratospheric success.”

Sheeran expressed his excitement for the upcoming project saying that he was “thrilled.”

“We’ve pulled together photos and Phillip’s artwork from the very beginning right up to today,” Sheeran said, “and the book will be my words on the stories behind the pictures.”

Butah, who is the youngest artist to ever win the Prince of Wales Young Artists’ award, expressed his thoughts on the project as well.

“I love working with Ed- it’s a real privilege- and I’m really excited to be collaboration with him on such an exciting project: his music, talent and achievements inspire me.”

While there is no set date of when the book will be released, it will be some time in autumn.
