Flappy Bird has been one of the newest free apps for iPhone owners, and it has been well-known for being popular and frustrating at the same time for its difficulty. Dong Nguyen, the creator of Flappy Bird, will remove the game from the app store tomorrow though.
Flappy Bird is a game where the player has to guide a flying bird through gaps between green tubes and they get one point for each gap crossed. If the bird hits a tube the game ends for the player. The highest possible score is 9,999, according to LA Times.
According to Gamespot, Flappy Bird has generated more than $50,000 per day in revenue from advertising, and it has been downloaded more than 50 million times. It rose to the top of the Apple App Store and Google Play charts after its popularity broke through in November.
After Nguyen decided to pull the game, he said in a tweet that "he can't take it anymore" and that it will be not be removed for legal reasons. The real reason for Flappy Bird being taken down is unknown.
