Actress Gabrielle Union has revealed in an interview Monday night that she has demanded a prenuptial agreement with her basketball player fiancé Dwyane Wade.
Entertainment Tonight notes that Union revealed on The Arsenio Hall Show why she has to have a pre-nup with Wade.
"I gotta protect my stuff,” she explained. "When you have your own stuff you don't need to worry about anyone else's stuff."
That’s a very logical explanation, however, according to TMZ Sports it makes no sense at all, because the Miami Heat guard is worth about 10 times more than Union. The website notes that her soon-to-be-hubby is worth somewhere around $200 million.
However, the Think Like a Man star maintains that she is the one who demanded the pre-nup.
"For this marriage, the biggest difference between this and the last marriage will be a pre-nup, at my insistence," she said.
The 41-year-old was previously married to retired Jacksonville Jaguars running back Chris Howard. They divorced in 2006 and she has been dating the three-time NBA Champion in 2009. They got engaged in December.
