Hezbollah, a terrorist group fighting against Syrian dictator Bashar Assad in a three year conflict, has said they have been sending more people into areas that are heavy with Sunni Muslim rebels.
In an interview withUSA Today, A Hezbollah commander said that group is taking the lead in many more battles in Syria.
The most frequent attack has been on eastern outskirts of Damascus, in which 175 Islamism fighters were killed. They were ambushed when they were trying to leave the outskirts to join fights in other areas that needed help.
United States Secretary of State said that what Assad “is doing is outrageous, unconscionable, unacceptable, disgraceful, craven, it’s horrendous. And we all know that. Everybody knows that,” according to The Daily Star.
The conflict started in 2011 when protesters demanded reform, and then turned south when authorities got physical and used force.
The United States have named Hezbollah as a terror group, who has killed hundreds of Americans.
