DirecTV held their annual “Super Saturday Night” party for the Super Bowl, last night at NYC’s Pier 40. Jay-Z performed a set for fans, with a surprise guest appearance from none other than his wife, Beyoncé.
According to Billboard.com, Jay-Z performed over an hour long set, with recent hit songs such as “Tom Ford” and “Holy Grail”. He even threw some throwback hits in, such as “99 Problems” and “Big Pimpin’”.
The event was invite-only and included celebrities such as Kate Upton, Jamie Foxx, Chris Tucker, and Aaron Paul. It was co-hosted by New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning and Mark Cuban’s AXS cable network, according to Variety.com.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the night was when Beyoncé came on stage to perform “Drunk in Love”. The couple gave a much less risqué performance than at the Grammy’s, but nonetheless gave fans what they wanted.
At the end, Jay-Z yelled to the crowd, “Make some noise for Queen Bey,” Variety.com added. Come on, how much do we love these two?
