The numbers continue to look good for the Tonight Show in its first week with Jimmy Fallon as host as Thursday night's numbers were even stronger than Wednesday.

In the advertiser important 18-49 demographic, the Tonight Show rose to its second highest number of the week, just behind Monday's premiere, reports TVbythenumbers.

Fallon's show snagged a 2.6 in the demo for the evening and the late-night talk show also got 7.688 million viewers.
For Thursday night, the Tonight Show managed to easily beat Jimmy Kimmel and David Letterman's shows, which both only got a 0.7 in the demo and combine viewership is lower than Fallon's.

The 7.688 million viewers is the second highest Thursday night ratings of the past five years of the Tonight Show, only losing out to Jay Leno's last week farewell episode.

The ratings are a nice improvement over Wednesday night's numbers, which also showed growth after the second episode's drop. Fallon averaged a 2.3 and 7.274 million viewers, which set a Wednesday viewership high over the past 10 years.
