The Hollywood romance between screen legends Katharine Hepburn and Spencer Tracy is being turned into a feature film.
According to Deadline, who first reported the news, the film is called Tracy and Hepburn and is being done through David Permut's Permut Presentations and Reunion Pictures.
Scribe David Rambo has been tapped to write the screenplay. He's previously worked on CBS' CSI and NBC's Revolution. "David Rambo is one of the most prolific writers I know," Permut noted. After working together for a Ronald Reagan play, Permut added, Rambo's "now gotten under the skin of Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn's complex relationship with the same unique style and elegance."
TheWrap reports that the film will follow the two upon their first meeting for their film Woman of the Year on until Tracy's passing after they had completed shooting Guess Who's Coming to Dinner.
Hepburn and Tracy collaborated on nine films during their lives. Their relationship was never easy as he was married and suffered from alcoholism.
