Katherine Heigl used to command big paychecks from the studios, but her movie career hasn’t panned out as well as she hoped. She’s going to be returning back to television soon and the producers of her latest movie, Jenny’s Wedding, are seeking help on IndieGogo to raise $150,000 just to finish it.

The film is being produced by MM Productions and they wrapped principal photography back in November. However, the crew needs $150,000 to complete post-production and to make the movie look the best it can. So, they launched an IndieGogo project. After four days, $5,481 has been raised.

Like the successful Kickstarter campaigns for Zach Braff’s new movie and the Veronica Mars film, there are perks for anyone who makes a donation. It you have an extra $15,000, the producers will give you the wedding dress Heigl wears in the movie, plus everything in the lower levels and they will make a $500 donation to the PFLAG Organization in Cleveland.

In the movie, Heigl plays Jenny Farrell, a lesbian woman with a conventional family who has just found the woman she wants to marry. Her co-stars are Tom Wilkinson, Grace Gummer and Linda Emond.

Heigl, who once starred on Grey’s Anatomy and starred in Knocked Up and 27 Dresses, is heading back to TV. She’s slated to star in an NBC pilot titled State of Affairs, in which she will play a CIA liaison to the president.
