Scott Mescudi, better known as Kid Cudi, has been cast in the upcoming Entourage film it was revealed on Thursday.
Cudi has been cast to play Ari Gold's new assistant since his old one, Lloyd, was promoted to a rep, according to Deadline, who first reported the casting.
Though Cudi is mostly known as a rapper, he has been branching out into acting with small roles here and there for a while and was in HBO's How To Make It In America. He will be seen in the upcoming Aaron Paul-starring film Need For Speed. The rapper, who is scheduled to perform at Coachella, also just finished work for two other films, James White and Two Night Stand.
Cudi will join the recently cast UFC fighter Ronda Rousey in the film.
In January, Jeremy Piven talked about returning to his role as Gold for the film and he noted that it would take some time to get back into character. "I really had left him behind and was embracing, am embracing this entire journey."
He added, "So, it required me to be a little schizophrenic."
