Artist and actor Scott Mescudi a.k.a. ‘Kid Cudi’ announced the drop of his new album Satellite Flight: The Journey to Mother Moon just hours before its unexpected iTunes release early Tuesday morning.
AceShowBiz reports that Cudi had announced a February EP release but never mentioned an actual date. The 30 year old rapper took to Twitter last night to share the link with fans, while tweeting exciting comments such as “Time to make the world stand still.”
According to E Online, Satellite Flight marks the fourth album by Cudi, following Man on the Moon, Man on the Moon II, and Indicud. This doesn’t include his collaborative self-titled rock album WZRD released two years ago. The new 11 track album features songs such as "Copernicus Landing" and “Balmain Man” featuring R&B singer Raphael Saadig. Though smaller in comparison, the move is similar to the one made by superstar Beyoncè this past December when she dropped her self-titled album without the slightest notion from fans.
Kid Cudi will be starring in the up and coming Need for Speed movie set for a March 14th release, starring alongside actors Aaron Paul and Michael Keaton.
