The well-known rock and roll band Kiss has decided not to perform when they inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in April.
The band, which has been around for four decades, made the announcement on Sunday, saying it was “an emotional situation where there is no way to please everyone.”
According to Associated Press, the issue was caused because the group was not able to decide a lineup for the ceremony, which is set to take place April 10. Specifically, the band couldn’t decide if the performance should include all of the original members or the band or the current members.
Members Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley are the only remaining original member that are still in Kiss. Former members admitted that they did not want to perform with their replacements.
The band will instead keep their focus on the celebration of the induction, Rolling Stone reports.
Gene Simmons stated in an interview back in December that all members of Kiss are equally important to the band.
