After Leanne Bearden, 33, went missing in January in San Antonio, most assumed that she left voluntarily, however police recently uncovered her body near where she was last seen.
According to ABC News, police concluded that Bearden most likely killed herself right after she left her in-laws house. Bearden died of asphyxiation due to hanging.
Bearden and her husband had just come back from a 2 year trek around the world. It was suggested by her husband that coming back to this normal life was not easy for his wife.
Texas, Police Chief Donna O'Conner said that, "Our thoughts are with the Hecht and Bearden families as they grieve the loss of their loved one. There are no words to express our appreciation to all the citizens, law enforcement agencies, Texas Search and Rescue and Heidi Search Center for their support,” according to CNN.
The couple kept a blog where they documented their travels, with this quote on top of their page, “You don’t choose a life, you live one.”
