The multi-talented Lena Dunham has signed on to host an episode of Saturday Night Live in March.

NBC announced today that Dunham, will host alongside The National as the musical guest. The rock group recently scored success with Trouble Will Find Me. They are also the subject of the documentary Mistaken for Strangers, which will hit cinemas in late March.

Dunham will host on March 8. It is the first time for the Girls star, who created the hit HBO show and co-wrote many of the episodes. It is executive produced by Judd Apatow and also stars Allison Williams, Zosia Mamet and Jemima Kirke. Dunham also directed the indie film Tiny Furniture.

Saturday Night Live is transitioning to a new period without Seth Meyers as co-anchor of “Weekend Update.” His tenure on Late Night began Monday. The first episode without Meyers will air this Saturday, with The Big Bang Theory’s Jim Parsons hosting. Beck is the musical guest.
