Singer-songwriter, Lorde, will be headling the upcoming Preakness InfieldFest festival. Lorde will be taking the main stage in May at the Pimlico Race Course in Maryland.
The Grammy-award winning "Royals" singer will be performing in front o a crowd over 100,000 people. The performance will take place before the horses enter the track for the Thoroughbred racing stage. This is the middle race on the quest for the Triple Crown. USA Today reported.
The event will feature a second stage for additional live music.
Former headliners that took the main stage at Preakness include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Bruno Mars and Maroon 5,Billboard added.
Tickets will be available to the public through the Preakness website and Ticketfly.
Lorde, who's real name is Ella Maria Lani Yelich-O'Connor, recently won a Grammy for her hit single, "Royals." She was also nominated for record of the year and best pop vocal album for her debut album Pure Heroine.
