Mariah Carey is releasing her next studio album on May 6th, the announcement was posted on the singers YouTube channel. Carey dropped her single this week at the BET awards. The upcoming album will be called You're Mine (Eternal).
This is the follow up album to Carey's 2009 record, Memoirs of an Imperfect Angel.
You're Mine (Eternal) was set to be released back in July but Carey pushed the albums release date back. The singer suffered a shoulder injury on the set of a music video and had to delay the album,Billboard reported.
Carey's new album was originally due out last July, but the singer delayed the album and then had to recover from a shoulder injury she suffered filming a music video last summer.
The singer wore a very low cut black dress as she performed her latest single on the BET awards, the dress made headlines around the world but Carey is known for her fashion choices, the
New York Daily News reported.
The announcement featured all of Carey's career accomplishments including topping the Billboard charts 18 times and it shows her progression in the music industry. Watch the announcement here:
