With only about two months left before its premiere, Sony Pictures has just released yet another trailer for The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
The trailer runs for three minutes, focusing alternately on Spider-Man, also known as Peter Parker, played by Andrew Garfield, and Jamie Foxx's electrified villian Electro.
As Forbes notes, Sony has released about six trailers for the film in the past three months. This new trailer features a little more about the movie's story, even potential spoilers for those who like to know next to nothing walking into a theater.
The trailer, as Ain't It Cool News reports, the trailer also features Han Zimmer's score and theme of the movie in a more prominent place, and we get some glimpses into the formation of a new Green Goblin. There are some quick flashes of Paul Giamatti's villain too, the Rhino.
There are some hints of real glory in the trailer, offering a little of Electro's plight and turmoil as a villain, but the biggest concern is being overstuffed. With three villains, the movie may collapse under its own weight in terms of plot, as Sam Raimi's widely panned Spider-Man 3 did.
Despite these worries, the film is almost guaranteed a large box office haul after the success of the first film, with stars Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone returning along with director Marc Webb.
The film comes to theaters in early May.
