A new promotor, Alki David, claims to have secured the rights to the boxing match featuring George Zimmerman after original promoter Damon Feldman pulled out.
David, owner of the online streaming service called FilmOn.com, claims that instead of being a celebrity boxing match, which Feldman billed it as, it will be more like a Fight Club-style match.
David told TMZ the new match will be “a very bloody event” with "much bigger names than DMX.”
He went on to say that profits from the fight will go to the Trayvon Martin Foundation and it will take place on March 15. Sources say the deal isn’t finalized but David insisted all the details will come out at a press conference on Tuesday.
As we previously reported, after receiving death threats, Feldman tweeted "This was the wrong person to put in the ring and define celebrity boxing thank you. I walked away from av [sic] million dollar payday with this fight but to be honest I'd rather be happy and make people happy thank you."
