Congratulations are in order for Nina Tassler, who has been named the new Chairman of CBS after spending 10 years as the president of CBS Entertainment.

Deadline, reveals that along with being promoted to Chairman of CBS, Tassler has signed a new contract with CBS that will keep her with the network till 2017. Tassler, currently manages all of CBS's programs from daytime, primetime and late-night. During, Tassler's watch CBS has been the most watch network 10 out of the 11 years she has been in charge. Under Tassler's guidance CBS has put on such hit shows like The Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, The Good Wife and Person of Interest among others.

Variety reports how in her new position as Chairman of CBS, Tassler will continue to report to CBS Corporation and CEO Les Moonves. Moonves, says that Tassler has necessary creative vision and skills that has helped CBS achieve a large amount of success. Moonves states, "Nina’s creative instincts, programming savvy and leadership skills have helped form a hit-making machine that has fueled the network’s success and benefited the company’s bottom line."
