Two scuba divers came face to face with an octopus that seemed to take an exception to them filming its underwater home.

Dave Malvestuto and Warren Murray were scuba diving around Bluefish Cove in Carmel, Calif. when they came across the eight-foot-long octopus, reports Fox News.

They noticed the octopus trying to blend in to the rock it was on, but they were able to figure what it was as they drew nearer and grew more interested in what they had found. The octopus can be seen slowly moving forward as the two divers do, before it suddenly lashes out towards the camera.

According to New York Daily News, Murray, who is a professional scuba and underwater photography instructor, is the one to scrap with the annoyed octopus.

"I wasn't too worried. Generally they are not too interested in people. They'll just take off," Warren said. "I was thinking he would take off as soon as I got close to it. When he wasn't moving, I was excited."

He admitted that at one point he was worried that the Pacific octopus would be able to snap his fingers in its fight for the camera.

Thankfully after Murray began using the flash as he continued to take pictures while the octopus was attached and it speeds off.
