Odd Future was denied access to New Zealand was denied access to travel, after visas were denied by a passport agency.

According to the Associated Press, Immigration New Zealand said in an official statement, "Odd Future has been deemed to be a potential threat to public order and the public interest for several reasons, including incidents at past performances in which they have incited violence."

Border Operations Manager Karen Urwin said, “It's not a decision we take lightly and not one that happens often.”

The group was due to play an outdoor concert with Eminem in Auckland on Saturday. Authorities declined the visas to the six group members after becoming aware of a 2011 incident in Boston where fans attacked police officers. The hip-hop group, which is also known as Odd Future Wolf Gang Kill Them All, is known for its anarchic style and lyrics that canvas drugs and killing. Their album, released in 2012 is called The OF Tape, Vol. 2. According to NPR, their music is thrilling to some and disquieting to others.
