One Direction has sold over 5 million albums in the United States alone and their success is helping musicians who are close to the group. Acts like Jason DeRulo and Little Mix have seen jump on the charts and an increase in album sales since being connected with the U.K. musical sensations.
Jason Derulo's hit single "Talk Dirty," has moved up on the charts in eight week of being released. Back in November, One Direction was a part of a a seven-hour YouTube stream and in the video the band danced to Derulo's "Talk Dirty," the group was half-naked and dancing to the song, which was already hit across the pond, Billboard reported.

"Talk Dirty" saw an increase in sales across the pond and in the United States. The song quickly spiked 630%, from 78,000 on Nov. 23 to 612,000 on Nov. 24, this was a result of the viral video released by One Direction.
Senior vice president of Warner Bros. Records International Michael Nance spoke about how the use of the song in the now viral video did help sales. "It definitely had a big impact, the song was a huge hit in their home market."
Little Mix has seen a rise in sales because of Perrie Edwards being engaged to One Direction member Zayn Malik. Mix hasn't released a single off of their current new album, Salute but the album has sold 43,000 copies and entered into the Billboard charts at no. 6, Music Times.
