A Pennsylvania woman, who has admitted to killing a man she met on Craigslist, blamed her actions on a satanic cult.
In a jailhouse interview with the Daily Item, Miranda Barbour admitted to killing Troy LaFerrara and said he was one of the dozens of victims she killed in the last six years.
The Associated Press noted that Barbour said the slayings of at least 22 other people in Alaska, California, Texas and North Carolina were part of her involvement in a satanic cult.
The 19-year-old left open the possibility that there could be even more victims.
"When I hit 22, I stopped counting," she said.
Barbour also said in the interview that she would like to plead guilty to killing LaFerrara and is willing to work with police about her other alleged victims.
Barbour and her husband Elytte, were both charged with the murder and are awaiting trial.
Police did not offer many details about the investigation, but said that they are looking into the claims.
