Pharrell won big at the Grammy awards with Daft Punk and is enjoying an Oscar nomination for his single, "Happy" which was featured in Despicable Me 2 but the singer/producer has one more accomplishment to add to his growing resume. "Happy" is the highest charting Oscar-nominated single in over a decade.

The single is currently No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 charts. The last song to be nominated for an Oscar for best original song and to chart that high was Eminem's "Lose Yourself" which was featured in the film 8 Mile, Billboard reported.

Eminem's "Lose Yourself" did win for best original song in early 2003 and was the highest chart topping song to do so other than "My Heart Will Go On," by Celine Dion which was featured in the film, Titanic.

Pharrell recently spoke about the success of this single and how songwriting has changed in 2014, "What the world has done with this song is not my doing. I'm honored to have this experience and am so thankful that I was pushed (by the filmmakers). All the sharing and requesting and downloads? That's incredible," said Williams.

Williams will also be performing "Happy" during the Oscar broadcast, The Wrap added.
